The client wanted a small-scale planting with a woodland theme, on the site of an old rose garden. With a palette limited to restful green and white, this low maintenance planting sustains year-round interest. Located adjacent to the front door of the house and within view of the main windows, it was important to create a planting that looks both tidy and attractive at all times.
Having an enclosed small scale planted area within a much larger garden creates a space where the owners can enjoy sitting in the shade in hot weather.
